Tiki, according to Polynesian myth, was the first man
and also the name given to the various incarnations
of Polynesian Gods.
Modern tiki came around in the 40’s when American GI’s
returning from the 2nd World War in the Pacific region
brought back various exotic items and art from their travels.
Soon the likes of Don the Beachcomber
and Victor “Trader Vic” Bergeron started opening
bars and restaurants in this exotic style which provided
a tropical getaway from post war life.
The scene grew and grew with more bars, restaurants and
architects using the style to satisfy the publics craving for
the exotic, and thus tiki style was born.
It is now recognisable worldwide.
Tiki has, through out the years, stuck to its original
intensions as well as becoming an icon of modern style.

All purchases through Paypal will be posted the next working day.
Our postage within the UK is 1st class & may take up to 1 week.
International is sent by Airmail & could take between 1 to 4 weeks.
All purchases made by cheque or bankers draft will be posted
when cleared which may take between 5 and 7 working days.
If you require postal insurance, special delivery or any other postal
services please contact us for extra pricing & details.
Returns Policy: Cheekytiki sells only quality items & does not accept
returns or exchanges. Some items may not look exactly as seen on
Cheekytiki.com as many are hand made and differ slightly in colour &
size. We take extra care in packing items as some are fragile, but if your
item arrives damaged please contact us within 24hrs of receiving it.
We will arrange for that damaged item to be sent back to us & upon
its arrival we will send you another of the same item.
