Our Story

CheekyTiki was founded by Jamie Wilson and Anjy Cameron. Returning to his native England after island-hopping across the South Pacific, Jamie set up an art studio above a Tiki bar in London.
It was in this setting that his love of traditional Polynesian craft was inspired by his discovery of growing interest in mid twentieth century Tiki culture.
It was also in this setting that he met Anjy, a pop culture adherent from Australia who had been doing a bit of globetrotting herself and had been gravitating toward the same Tiki culture.  

Soon, the duo was creating their own version of Polynesian Pop – one part traditional Polynesian craft and one part pure pop iconography. They were also acquiring an impressive list of clients along the way, such as Number 10 Downing Street, the Musee International des Artes Modeste in France, Appleton Rum of Jamaica, Trader Vics London and Mahiki.
